Sunday's sermon will focus on the section of the LORD’s prayer:

“Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.”

We will explore what forgiveness is NOT (reconciliation) and what forgiveness is (releasing someone of their debt).

Forgiveness often seems difficult because releasing people of their debt, instead of ensuring they pay, is not justice. Only when we realize that Jesus already paid these debts, when He died on the cross, can we understand the justice of forgiveness. And only when we understand that we belong to Him can we receive freedom from unforgiveness and healing for the wounds we have received from others.
