Joel Riedlinger

Production Lead

Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Joel moved to Norfolk in 2012 to attend Old Dominion University and has called the area home ever since. His connection to CrossRoads started on his very first Sunday in town when his uncle brought him to church. What began as a visit quickly became a community, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and the friendships he built through Young Life.

As CrossRoads’ Production Lead, Joel works behind the scenes to help create a smooth worship experience each week. He loves seeing people get connected and appreciates how CrossRoads helps everyone find a place to belong.

When he’s not at church, you’ll probably find Joel listening to music, DJing an event, or gathering friends to watch sports and enjoy good food. He’s a big believer that almost any occasion is better when people are together.

Joel’s favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:12: “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.” The verse carried him through difficult seasons in life and continues to remind him that God is faithful and there is always hope.

Joel lives in Norfolk with his wife, Katie, and their daughter, Avery. If you ever want to talk music, sports, or the latest great book, he’s always up for a conversation.
