Joe Lindsay
DIRECTOR OF FAMILY MINISTRIES
Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Joseph Lindsay and his wife, Elizabeth, moved to the Norfolk area when she began medical school at EVMS. While looking for a church home, they immediately felt welcomed at CrossRoads. The strong sense of community, commitment to serving others, and opportunities to grow through Life Groups, discipleship, and service made it an easy place to put down roots.
Before joining the staff, Joseph faithfully served as a volunteer in the Youth Group and Kids Ministry. With experience ranging from camp counselor and elementary school teacher to Navy Child and Youth Programs instructor and trainer, Joseph has spent much of his life investing in children and students.
When he’s not at church, Joseph enjoys playing board games, reading, trying new hobbies like woodworking and baking sourdough bread, and spending time with Elizabeth and their daughters, Annabeth and Rosalie.
Galatians 2:20 is a verse that shapes Joseph’s life, reminding him that everything he does is an opportunity to reflect Christ and bring glory to God.
If you ever want to talk family ministry, fantasy novels, or the perfect loaf of sourdough, he’d love to chat.
