Billy Colonna
WORSHIP DIRECTOR
Billy serves as Worship Director at CrossRoads. His family moved from Maryland to Norfolk in 2002, when he was a sophomore in high school. Except for a short time in Virginia Beach, Norfolk has been home ever since.
Billy and his wife, Holly, began attending CrossRoads in 2005 as freshmen at ODU. They were drawn to the worship, sermons that addressed difficult topics, and the close-knit community. They grew through a Life Group and later led one for six years.
Billy and Holly have four children: Benjamin, who died in 2015; twins Chase and Gemma; and Judah. The playground at CrossRoads was named in Benjamin’s memory. Billy enjoys spending time with his family, writing and playing music, and visiting the beach or Norfolk Botanical Garden.
He especially appreciates how students and military families connect and serve at CrossRoads, even when Norfolk is only their temporary home. Isaiah 43:18–19 reminds him not to fixate on the past, but to look ahead at what God is doing.
