Week 10 - DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED

November 1 - 7

John 14:1–16:4
Week 10 brings us into one of the most personal conversations Jesus has with His disciples. He knows the cross is approaching and that His followers are about to face confusion, fear, and loss. Yet instead of focusing on what He is about to suffer, Jesus turns His attention to them. “Let not your hearts be troubled,” He says. He promises them His peace, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and a relationship with Him that will continue even after He is gone.

As the conversation unfolds, Jesus invites His disciples into something deeper than simply knowing about Him. He calls them to abide in Him, just as branches remain connected to a vine. He reminds them that love and obedience belong together, commands them to love one another, and prepares them for the reality that following Him will not always be easy. Through it all, His message is clear: You don't have to face life on your own. Stay close to Me.

Take the readings a day at a time, Sunday through Friday, and allow Jesus' words to speak into your own life. What is troubling your heart right now? Where are you trying to manage life through your own strength rather than depending on Him? Is there someone He is calling you to love more deeply, or an area where following Him feels costly? Bring those things honestly to Jesus. He invites you not simply to try harder, but to remain in Him, trust His presence, and discover the peace and fruitfulness that come from staying close to Him.
